  some members have been using the term creationism to refer to everyone that is not an atheist, and believes in god.

  i just wanted to bring out the fact that there are a wide variety of beliefs.

  not all that believe in god reject evolution, propose a young earth, and reject scientific methods.. some newer atheists have been saying that unless you are an atheist you do not believe in facts, reason, and logic.

  Yeah. Many times people are constantly refining their beliefs. I think that's the way it SHOULD be.

  The fader fears the what-ifs more than they desire personal freedom and being true to their own beliefs.

  see, I don't agree with this comment. I don't think that all or even most faders are doing it for fear or a lack of being able to courageously stand up for themselves. Many are fading so as to singlehandedly hold the family together. Some are staying in so as to be able to leak info to the outside.to generalize them and say that it is because of fear over personal freedom is a generalization that just isn't true. This may be true of some, but not true of ANY of the faders I know.

  So do we have any pantheists, polytheists,autotheists, eutheists, dystheists maltheists (id love to talk to one of these), or any other types I might have missed?

  Talesin I am a believer and cofty has been nothing but respectful and kind with me. He's been more patient with me and my questions about his view than I could have expected. I haven't seen this scorn towards believers that you are claiming of him. Maybe he's been scornful towards attitudes not someone just because they believe in a higher power.

  a really TRUE Christian wouldn't apologise

  for not having candy or treats to give the little beggars when they hit him up with "trick or treat?!".

  a really true christian would give a tract about satan or the demons, or at least a quick sermon about how much god hates what they are doing.. i, on the other hand, apologised.

  my wife is still very active and a heartfelt apology was the best i could do...but it's progress!.

  I was for 30 years. I just hid like a "worldly" person, and didn't answer the door for trick or treaters. Well, I'm off to trick or treat now.
